Alarm systems have a host of sensors which remain unused for much of their existence, however these sensors can be used in all manner of ways in a control system including; switching off lights in unoccupied rooms, alerting when a door has been opened (or left open), emailing to warn the owner when a smoke alarm has been activated. The list is almost endless and can offer not only enhanced security but can also allow you to live a greener life.
CCTV cameras can be used to pop-up a picture of the person at the door when the doorbell is rung. Door locks can be controlled from your bed, when at work or even on holiday and programmed to allow staff to enter the house only on certain days or to switch the TV to a favourite station depending on whether it’s Mum, Dad or junior’s entry code.
Gate entry systems are also available which can be integrated with touch screens and intercoms.
